The Technology Venture Center provides infrastructure for
early-stage and transition companies as they grow and mature. The primary
objective of the Center is to provide an environment where technology
companies will develop into employers located in Southeastern Massachusetts.
By attracting these companies to the Technology Venture Center UMass Dartmouth
hopes to facilitate the economic growth of the region.
Participating companies benefit from an environment that includes quality
space, complete facilities and support services, technical and business
expertise, and proximity to other companies facing similar challenges.
Access to UMass Dartmouth faculty and staff, as well as the fully equipped
research laboratories, is one of the most beneficial resources. Additionally,
business and technical support is available from the UMass Dartmouth.
The services include strategic and business planning, financial and capital
planning as well as market research. The University will also help with
legal and intellectual property issues as needed. The Center also has
established commercial alliances with accounting, legal, human resources
and funding organizations.
The Technology Venture Center provides a great networking environment.
The ATMC's Conference Center frequently hosts technology conferences,
venture forums and symposiums that attract local industry leaders, entrepreneurs
and others who invest in and work with growing companies.
